J.E.S. Group Ltd a multi-disciplined mechanical engineering company involved in major contract work based in South Wales, invites eligible and qualified bidders to submit proposals for the design and construction of a modular, interactive, and immersive Learning Management Platform (LMP) tailored for welders at its Centre of Excellence Skills Training Academy in Port Talbot. This project will be implemented in phases, with the initial phase focusing on essential features such as a calendar of courses, online booking with a payment gateway, registration portal, password-protected access to personalised information, including a CV builder, induction module, Health & Safety module, and dedicated modules for Carbon Reduction, Net Zero, and Circular Economy

 

Scope of Work:

 

 Calendar of Courses:

  •  Develop a user-friendly calendar system for scheduling welding courses. 

  • Allow users to view upcoming courses, availability, and detailed information.

 

Online Booking and Payment Gateway: 

  • Implement an intuitive and seamless online booking system with secure payment gateways and checkouts supporting various payment methods (credit/debit cards, e-wallets etc) for course enrolment, fees, additional materials and overall end user experience. The objective is to facilitate the effortless enrolment on welding courses.

 

Registration Portal:

  •  Design and implement a comprehensive registration portal for new and existing users. 

  •  Capture and store essential information for user profiles and course history. Login Protected.

 

Access:

  •  Establish a secure login system with multi-factor authentication for heightened security.

  • Enable users to access personalised information and track their training progress.

 

 CV Builder:

  •  Integrate a CV builder tool for welders to create and be able to continually update their professional resumes. 

  • Allow users to input and manage their qualifications, certifications and work experience. 

 

Instructor Dashboards & Discussion Forums:

  • User privileges enabling back end platform access for easy view analytics.

  • Instructor ability to rate and provide feedback on courses, progress and overall learning experience.

  • The ability to generate surveys and polls to gather and gauge preferences and suggestions for improvement. 

  • Discussion forums and collaborative spaces for collaborative learning.

 

 Induction Module:

  •  Develop an interactive and immersive (VR/AR simulation) induction module for new learners.

  • Provide the means for the company to communicate its corporate values and ensure that comprehensive introduction to welding and the Mechanical Engineering Industry is delivered. 

  • Provide essential information on the training program and expectations. 

 

Health & Safety Module: 

  • Design a dedicated, detailed module covering Health & Safety protocols for welding. 

  • Include engaging multimedia content, interactive quizzes, and assessments.

 

Carbon Reduction, Net Zero, and Circular Economy Modules:

  •  Create specialised modules addressing industry trends and best practices.

  • Deliver the means for JES and its associates to provide engaging content on carbon reduction, achieving net-zero targets, and circular economy principles in the context of welding. 

 

Responsive Design:

  • Compatibility across devices (desktops, laptops, tablets and smartphones).

 

Proposal Submission:

Interested bidders should submit their proposals by 19/02/2024 Late submissions will not be considered. Proposals should include:

  • Company profile and relevant experience. 

  • Technical approach and methodology for each phase.

  • Cost breakdown, including any licensing fees or recurring costs.

  • Proposed timeline for completion.
